Long Overdue Update

Wow. I just got a reply from someone on this blog and realized that I have not updated this blog in a LONG time. So, Here we are and I will start with a picture! :)

Courtney is doing well. She is sleeping on the couch. which is amazing. She usually is bright eyed and bushy tailed and ready to go by now. She must have not gotten much sleep last night. Poor thing.

All she seems to be talking about these days is how she wants to go to school. She is 3. Please baby stop growing. Im not ready to ship you off to school. Although I still have a whole year yet before you go, it just saddens me to know that you are just DYING to get outta the house already.

"Momma, Im gonna be in K-4!" *wipes tears* Yes baby, K-4!

Could someone please tell me why God created the kids to grow so fast? Couldn't he have realized that mom's get attached and at least made the baby/toddler stages go just a bit slower. There really is no need in making them grow so fast. I cuddle Courtney and I beg for the baby days again. I beg for my little girl to not be moble so I have an excuse to hold her and she can't fight me to get away. I miss the days of cradling her with one arm. Now she is this little giant and it takes all my strength to pick the girl up. At her last doctor's appointment she was 34.5lbs!!! Where'd my 6lb 15.5oz angel go? And Could I have her back please?

But then again, I remember when Courtney was a baby, asking for her to be able to talk to me and play with me, and run and walk, etc. This way I could understand what she wanted. Now the girl doesnt ever zip her lips and I just look at her as daily her words get clearer and clearer and Im like SERIOUSLY!!! Do you EVER shut up!!!! LOL No peace for me and no Rest for the weary.

To you momma's with little ones. When someone tells you ENJOY it while it lasts....LISTEN! Because they dont stay that way for long and eventually you will be wondering just where the HECK your little infant went.

Im Sick!

Thats all she will say lately. "Im Sick Momma" "I need tissue Mommy. I got boogys."

Courtney's vocabulary is amazing me. she says something new everyday that im just like WOW. You know what that means. its crazy how much they pick up.

Right now she is crashed on the couch. she is missing clifford the big red dog. When she wakes up, I will have to listen to her say, I want to watch my show's momma. then I will have to tell her they are over and she will get upset. its a round and round circle. And I get dizzy.

I need to go fold and put away her clothes again. Since her and her brother felt the need to throw them all over her bed.

Wow!

Its amazing watching a child grow. Courtney is amazing me everyday. It could either be by something she does, or one of her witty comments. it blows me away. She is so silly. She can make me laugh in no time.

Last night, we took her toddler bed apart and put the railings on the twin bed. Her cousin is borrowing her toddler bed so they dont have to worry about buying one for her. Courtney was so excited to get the railings on her "Big Big Girl Bed" that she was bouncing all over the place. She came running out into the living room while Larry was attachign the railings. She had found a puzzle peice to her dora puzzle that was missing a few peices and she was putting it together. Out of no-where..she starts signing..."Oooh Ee Ohh Ah Ah, Ting Tang, Walla Walla Bing Bang." OMG I was rolling. What a crazy child. She sings so much. Its hilarious.

She was really excited when we went to K-Mart last week. I just happend to be walking past the bedding, and right on an end cap of an asile, was a TWIN size My Little Pony Bed Set. SOO CUTE! She was happy! So now we can keep with the MLP theme with her big bed. So yesterday, I put her MLP wall decals up. She loves them. She had to instantly show daddy when he got home. Then she drug Branden to her room as well.

When it came to be bed time, she was excited to sleep in her big, big girl bed. We took her in
there, took a few pictures of her laying in her big bed, tucked her in, kissed her and told her goodnight and that we loved her. And we left the room. I turned on the baby monitor so I could listen for her in my room (upstairs). But she came out a few minutes later whining because she was scared of the little red light that lets you know the monitor is turned on. So I asked her if she would sleep in there if we covered that light up. And she said yes. So I got some black electrical tape and covered the light. In about 1 minute she was BACK out in the living room asking to sleep upstairs. And I told her she has to sleep in her big bed, but she snuck upstairs with Larry when he went up to bed. Cheeky little girl she is. We will try again tonight. Eventually she will get the hint that she has to sleep in her room. But until then, she has her bed upstairs as well. I will be taking that apart shortly though so she will have no choice but to sleep in her room. Hopefully she WILL sleep LOL.

Haven't Posted in a Month! :O

A lot has happend to me in a month. I am now 3 years old and goofy as ever. I anxiously wait for Christmas and All I can do is talk about Santa. I went to see him and had my picture taken with him. I was so scared at first. When I walked in and saw him, I quickly turned back towards my momma and held onto her super tight hoping she wouldnt let me go...but she did. She told me Santa was nice and that he brings presents to me. I was ok then. I sat on his lap and got my picture taken like a good girl. My mommy was super proud of me.

My mommy has no pictures to post of me right now. Her computer's hardrive died and she is waiting for it to be fixed. She is very sad cause she has lotsa pictures of me and my brother on the computer that she cannot get to. Poor Mommy!

There is another blog that my mommy likes looking at. Its for little Miss Sophie! I like looking at all of Sophie's pictures with Mommy. That little girl is so pretty and she is always so happy. Her mommy and daddy brought Sophie home with them from China. What a pretty baby she is. Merry 1st Christmas with your Family Sophie!

I hope everyone else has a great Christmas too!!! I can't wait to get my fingers on those presents.

T Minus 10 Days and Counting

Well Well Well...

Miss Courtney here has 10 more days left of being a 2 year old. Why Must little one's grow so fast. Its totally not fair.

I think all parents should be equipped with a thing that freezes time for aprox. 15 minutes so we can enjoy an extra 15 minutes of whatever it may be that they are doing. It would be nice. I think I would have bunt that thing up by now though. I would have her permanatly frozen! LoL ~:o)-

Courtney was "Tinkerbell" for halloween. It was not a tinkerbell costume, but just a fiary costume. She instisted that it was Tinkerbell...and who's to argue with a 2 year old? NOT ME! LOL

She is with her brother in this picture who was Spiderman. But he did not wear his mask because Courtney wanted nothing to do with him if he was wearing it. Dont blame her. The poor kid could barely keep the mask so he could see outta it so I told him to just ditch the mask LOL. Courtney was watching all the other kids get candy in this picture...hence why she was looking away...she was READY TO GO!

So here they are at the VERY first house. I was trying to get her to say Thank You to every person that gave her candy...but all I could get outta her was "YES!!!" really loud as she ran off. *Ugh* The people handing out candy thought it was hilarious though. She fought me SO bad to not hold Branden's hand as we walked. I told her you HAVE to hold Branden's hand...or you have to go in the stroller. She did not want to go in the stroller but I fought with her more than anything to get her TO hold his hand. And ALL night, as she got Candy....All I heard was "YES!!!". LOL goof ball.

She had lotsa fun. Eventually she had to give in and get in the stroller because her poor little legs just got TO tired. If there where houses with stairs, Branden took her bag up to them and just said, my sister is in her stroller...her legs got tired. They looked behind him...and plunked in a few peices of candy in her bag. Thankfully, cause I dont know what would have happend had she not gotten candy in her bag. Notice the pouty face of this picture. She really wanted to GO but her poor little legs where tired that she would start to whine and say My Legs Hurt Momma! So I told her to just ride in the stroller. After much aruging...she agreed. She tried to jump out on me a few times LOL.

All in all she had lotsa fun on Halloween. This was the registered trick or treat. They also went trick or treating when the city had their trick or treat. I should have brought the stroller along for that one as well...because of the previous night....but I didnt...thankfully her uncle doesnt live that far from us and he gave us a ride back home. What did momma get outta the kids night of fun...A Jello Shot...and A Cold. NICE!

Thanks Kids!!!

Almost 3?

What do you do when your toddler is almost 3 Years Old? CRY? Thats what I plan on doing. Everytime I think about the fact that lil miss CJ is almost a 3 year old, I get tears in my eyes. One month ago tomorrow that picture was taken. She changes month to month. Im not ready for her to be a little girl. I wasn't even ready for her to be a toddler. Or an infant. I wanted her to stay a newborn forever. To stay little enough to fit between the bend in my elbow to the tip of my fingers. Where does the baby go?
This time In 2002 I was begging to get this child out because she was KILLING my rib cage. She had her foot shoved up in my ribs and would not give me any peace. My mom said put an ice pack on that side where it hurts really bad...babies don't like cold, she will move. Did my stubborn child move? NO! She pushed HARDER!!! Figures. This child takes after her mother already and she doesnt even breathe normal air yet! Just my luck!

As my baby gets closer to her 3rd birthday and demands her dora birthday even more....I cry my eyes out. Just for one day I want that helpless infant back that LOVED to be cuddled and held and wrapped up in her blankie to fall asleep in her momma's arms. That same blue blankie that she has draped over her head...she has had since she was about 4 months old. And that sucka goes EVERYWHERE. Do not leave it behind...or you will be in a heap of trouble.

Amazing Girl

This girl amazes me everyday. I cannot help but laugh at her.

When she is "naughty" and you are trying to scold her for doing something she shouldn't have done, she will make faces at you. How can you not laugh? Its hard not to. It makes disciplining very difficult.

When she potty's on the potty chair...and she does a #2. She HAS to show it to you!!! "Mama I pood I pood Tome see Tome See!!!" And if you do NOT get up...she will come to you grab your hand and insist. You dont really have the choice to go! She will MAKE you.

Her birthday is fast approcing. Im totally NOT looking forward to it. All you hear about all day is "Dora Birthday". She is begging for a Dora birthday which I intend to give her, but Im really tired of hearing DORA DORA DORA lol.

Right now she is curled up on the couch with her giant bed time bear unde her bed time bear blankie watching tv. Waiting paitently for Elmo (sesame street) to come on. Its a chilly September day in Wisconsin. Its not all fun. I HATE waking up freezing. Its almost time to put the heater on.
